On April 15th, 2021, a devastating mass shooting occurred at a FedEx facility in Indianapolis, Indiana, leaving 8 people dead and several others injured. The shooter, identified as Brandon Scott Hole, was a former employee of the facility who had been previously known to the authorities.

According to reports, the incident began around 11 p.m. local time, when Hole, armed with a rifle and a handgun, opened fire outside the facility before entering the building and continuing his attack. The police were called to the scene and arrived within minutes, but Hole had already taken his own life by the time they arrived.

It was later revealed that Hole had been interviewed by the FBI in March 2020, after his mother called the police to report that he might commit “suicide by cop.” His weapons were seized for safekeeping and returned to his mother in September 2020, but it is unclear whether she gave them back to Hole or not.

The victims of the shooting were primarily of Sikh and Hindu origin, and the attack is being investigated as a possible act of domestic terrorism. However, a motive for the shooting has yet to be determined. The FBI is currently investigating the incident and is asking anyone with information to come forward.

The tragedy has once again brought the issue of gun violence in the United States to the forefront and has sparked renewed calls for stricter gun control measures.
